US biotech and pharmaceutical companies have not developed therapies for these people. They still need help. Nutraceuticals are an often overlooked class of therapies. The FDA does not define a nutraceutical, and the meaning of the term is nebulous and has evolved over time. According to a British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology paper titled Defining ‘Nutraceuticals’: Neither Nutritious Nor Pharmaceutical, they are foods with a medical or health benefit including the treatment of prevention of disease.

It is almost entirely patient populated, with numeric data points collected every 2 weeks. It can track an unlimited number of symptoms using common rating scales. Patients have free access to Lumina through a separate patient portal, with a very high compliance rate. Track safety and efficacy easily and efficiently. Track adverse events, side effects, and drug-to-drug interactions in the background, with provider alerts. It greatly reduces time spent during the HPI. Patients using Lumina are much more engaged in their health care, and therapeutic decisions are driven by real time trend data. Its integrated analytics provide graphic patient education tools, reducing visit time and enhancing patient compliance. Lumina also provides comprehensive information on our products, including pre-clinical and clinical trial data, and “one-click” prescribing of any products on our formulary. These are shipped directly to the patient through our private mail order pharmacy. Lumina is an easy to use platform that gives you access to expanded therapy options.
